Yep it does count as a maxed title, so you can get this title instead of Legendary Survivor if you want to. As far as I know you can't get both (although there was a level 18 with 0 deaths), so this title is an alternative to Survivor.

It is not possible to have someone else death level for you, as there are no repeated rez skills. This has been discussed many times before i believe.

As for the Legendary Defender of Ascalon title count towards Kind of a Big Deal... Yea it does

It should be possible for someone to death level for you. If you just stand off to the side while they pull to the shrine and they keep dieing and rezzing form the shrine, then once they get to the level you want you attack.

No no no no no, both players have to die in order to rez. The only rez in pre is the Res sig, you can only rez once. Pets do not give xp.

it is impossible

It is not possible at all. in pre-searing there is no reusable ressurect skill, and you wont get ressurected until every party member is dead.
some people say its possible with a ranger by letting them level by killing you pet, don't believe what they say, its not true. the monsters wont level by killing your pet.

so it is completely impossible to get both.

Truly impossible. You can make level 16 by killing charr bosses and then if you save all your quests you can pick up all your exp from those afterwards. So level 17 or 18 would be about it. The only way after that is to go for death leveling to get exp.

Of course, it'd be a waste to do all the quests at lvl 16. I know some people did them when they nerfed deathleveling, but other than that there's no reason to. It's takes a lot less deathleveling to gain a level at 16 than at 19.

Actually Meat Axe, the Death Levelling is to increase the level of the monsters so you get more experience when you finally do kill them.

The monsters will gain more XP for killing you when you are level 18/19 than when you are level 16.

Therefore, it will take more death levelling at level 16 to increase the monster and yourself.

Yea - I was just pointing out how far you can get and still not die. Should have been more clear.
